Ed started as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and went on to be Chief Economist at E.F. Hutton, Prudential-Bache Securities and C.J. Lawrence, then Chief Investment Strategist at Deutsche Bank’s US equities division, Prudential Equity Group and Oak Associates. In 2007 he founded Yardeni Research, whose institutional clients include allocators, trading desks and funds around the world.

He is best known for naming things before the rest of the Street sees them: the bond vigilantes in 1983, the Fed’s stock valuation model in 1997, and the Roaring 2020s case he has argued through this decade. His views are cited by the Financial Times, Bloomberg, CNBC and The New York Times.
