About Ed

Four decades of reading the market.

Dr. Ed Yardeni has been Chief Economist at Prudential-Bache and Chief Investment Strategist at Deutsche Bank and Oak Associates, and since 2007 has run his own firm, Yardeni Research, whose institutional clients include allocators, desks and funds worldwide. He coined “bond vigilantes.” His work is cited by the Financial Times, Bloomberg, CNBC and The New York Times.

QuickTakes is the same thinking, written for one investor at a time: shorter, plainer, and published whenever the market calls for it.

  • PhD in economics, Yale
  • Seven books on markets and the economy
  • Former Fed economist
  • Regular on CNBC and Bloomberg TV

Anything else? Email support@yardeniquicktakes.com — a person answers, usually within a few hours.

How often do QuickTakes go out?

Five to eight a week, whenever Ed has something worth saying. We don’t pad the calendar. Each post is a four-to-six minute read with a chart or two and what it means for your portfolio.

How is this different from free newsletters?

It’s the same research Ed’s institutional clients pay for, not a teaser for something else. No sponsored segments, no affiliate links, no ads.

Who is it for?

Individual investors, advisors and market professionals who want Ed’s read without the 3,000-word institutional format. If you manage your own money or someone else’s, it’s for you.

Is this the same as Yardeni Research?

Same thinking, different format. QuickTakes is the short version written for a single investor. The institutional service is the full-length report read by allocators, desks and funds.

Do I get the full archive?

Members get every QuickTakes post going back to 2019, searchable, plus the chart library.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Two clicks from your account page, no phone call, no retention offer. In your first 30 days you can get a full refund for any reason.
